The United Nations (UN) and, among others, Austria have agreed on the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the 2030 Agenda. The 2030 Agenda provides an international, binding framework within which sustainable development is to be taken into account. We as a company have also thought about the 17 sustainable goals.

What does "Common Good certified operation" mean and how is it monitored?
The common good economy evaluates companies not only based on economic success but also according to their contribution to the common good – from fair wages and environmental protection to social engagement. We have immediately achieved 470 points in the common good balance sheet and created a detailed common good balance sheet.

Which organizations are regularly supported?
For many years, we have supported a child in an SOS Children's Village in Africa through sponsorship. Each year, we donate to "Austrian Doctors", who provide health care work in Asia. In current crises – such as the earthquakes in Turkey and Morocco 2023 – we provide additional immediate assistance.

Why do we forgo air conditioning and minibars?
By consciously refraining from using air conditioning and minibars in all rooms, we save enormous amounts of electricity every year. Our optimally insulated houses and thoughtful construction ensure pleasant temperatures even without air conditioning – naturally, healthily, and energy-efficiently.

Are the organic foods certified?
Yes! All food in our hotel is organically certified and, as much as possible, sourced regionally and seasonally. We are an official Fair Trade gastronomy partner and are regularly monitored by Austria Bio Garantie.
